Solar Eclipse in Capricorn ~ December 25th ~ THEME: Personal Rising

New Moon Solar Eclipse @ 4° of Capricorn, 9:13pm PT on Wednesday, December 25, 2019

Today is the Solar Eclipse in the sign of Capricorn at 4° – the first of two concurrent eclipses. One on the New Moon, and the other, a Solar Eclipse on the Full Moon at 20° of Cancer on January 10th.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse signals the Sun entering Capricorn, the most prominent sign right now. There’s currently a stellium occurring there with Sun, Ketu, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter transiting Capricorn.

These two eclipses echo back to the two summer eclipses on the same Capricorn/Cancer axis. (July 2nd and July 16). It’s good to reflect and ask yourself about what themes were occurring for you at that time? Now is a culmination of what occurred then.

It’s helpful to take time around the eclipse to reflect on the past five or so months and the changes that occurred in your life. It’s a great opportunity for deep self-reflection, journaling and taking stock of the past.

The Ancient peoples made a lot of meaning from eclipses as powerful celestial events – most myths are about the danger of eclipse time and illicit feelings of fear. Imagine how they felt looking up at the sky at a disappearing moon or sun!

However, in modern times it’s important to feel into the energy this month and ask ourselves, what does an eclipse mean for ME? Tracing back to previous eclipses can help you see what they brought for you specifically. You can review past and future eclipses HERE.

Connect with how the energy feels to you personally rather than have someone else tell you how it feels. We all have unique relationships with each sign and planet so we’ll all feel the impact differently.

For some, eclipse energy is super fun and exciting, for others it’s too chaotic and unpredictable.

Eclipses commonly bring big life changes to you or those around you, depending on if they touch personal planets in your chart. Any eclipse within 7 degrees of a planet in your chart will be felt.

You’ll notice there’s commonly breakups, businesses ending, unexpected life events, unforeseen world events, life changes, or simply having new insights, a change in friendship, a move to a better location etc, in and around eclipses.

Many of the events seem challenging at first, but ultimately the change is for the good of all.

In order to counterbalance the intensity of the season, make sure to go inward and take care of yourself as much as you can during this time. Be easy on yourself and others and ride the wave and intensity.

We are also in the midst of a GREAT cosmic and personal up-levelling related to these eclipses which reaches a pinnacle on January 12th, 2020.

No longer can we settle, no longer can we be misaligned and power forward. In the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed the areas of your life you need to level up come clearly into focus! It’s almost like a magnifying glass is being placed on those areas and you’re being forced to look finally and make changes.

The great UPLEVELLING has been occurring since Saturn went into Capricorn from December 29, 2017, and will continue until March 21, 2020, when Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius. What has occurred for you in this time frame?

The up-levelling energy is at its height right now as Saturn Conjuncts with Pluto this week, and now is the time to let go completely of whatever has been happening over the past couple years. To let it transform, to surrender and say goodbye for good, to release fully…

Use this energy to your benefit! There’s no need to run away or fight it. The shift from Saturn in Capricorn to Aquarius will be a welcomed one, where we’ll experience new insights, ways of being, innovations and inner and outer revelations can occur.

In the meantime allow the brilliance of wise old Capricorn to send you on the right path. The beauty of Capricorn is it strips down everything to its simplest form, it’s refined, it’s selective. Capricorn is efficient and therefore cuts off any dead weight. The process of releasing allows for this up level to occur, as uncomfortable as it may be to let go.

Ask Yourself: Where in your life are you needing to uplevel? Your relationships? Your career? Finances? Health? Whatever comes to mind first is likely the area to focus on. You can also check your Rising Sign and see where Capricorn sits in your birth chart for more insight.
