Full Moon in Capricorn June 24, 2021 – 11:40am Pacific/2:40pm Eastern

Theme: Go With The Flow

By: Andrea Dupuis

Capricorn is symbolized by the sea-goat. It’s a mythical creature whose top is a goat and the bottom is a fish fin. This is a creature that has two seemingly opposite expressions. One that climbs and one that swims.

The sea-goat reminds us to be steadfast, to climb like a goat and at the same time go with the flow of life and stay connected to the divine. When we get to this point of balance, we are meeting the sweet spot of Capricorn.

We can’t control life, we can do our best, but destiny will always play out as it needs to.

This week is a good time to release the need to control, the need to force, the need to win at all costs. The archetype connected to Capricorn is “The Boss”, the business person, the one who’s focused on higher achievement.

The key lesson of the Capricorn archetype is to keep one foot in the water, in the flow and magic of life as it unfolds.

This Full Moon is also a positive helpful aspect to Jupiter (which went retrograde on June 20). A soft sextile aspect means the Full Moon get’s positive support from Jupiter this Full Moon even though it’s retrograde.

Retrograde Jupiter asks us to re-evaluate our lives in the areas related to Jupiter.

Jupiter is considered “The Great Benefic” a planet that brings good luck, blessings, spiritual insight and is happy and optimistic. When it goes retrograde we can experience either a major increase in this energy, or (depending on our own charts) a challenge experiencing these energies

Each birth chart is so unique, and no two people experience a retrograde the same.

This transit – which lasts until mid October – increases the focus on spiritual pursuits as well as a re-evaluation of where we’re heading on our spiritual path.

Full Moon Contemplations:

What am I wanting to achieve in my life?

Where am I pushing too hard?

Where can I allow more flow?

What magic am I missing out on by pushing for outcomes?

Full Moon Ritual Bath for The Capricorn Full Moon

In honor of connecting with the water element and the magical side of Capricorn, it’s a great time to do a water releasing ritual. This is one that I love to do on The Full Moon as a practice of getting into my body and allowing water to help me release. Full Moon’s are the best time to release.

  • Fill a bucket or bowl with fresh water (filtered if possible) or fill your bathtub up with water
  • Add whatever you like – crystals, flowers, rose water, herbs, essential oils, epsom salts – anything that feels good to you
  • If you’re using a bucket or bowel, use a cloth to wash yourself, as you do, imagine yourself releasing anything you’re ready to let go of. Ask the power of the moon to support you as you release it
  • If you’re in the bath do the same, wash yourself and imagine anything you’re ready to release wash down the drain
  • Take your time and really enjoy this, be present with yourself, speak words of love and care to yourself and your body
  • Afterward, use lotion, oil or something soothing and put all over your body

A Seriously Caring Strawberry Full Moon

By: DeAriesha Mack aka AstroDee

This lovely old Strawberry full moon in Capricorn occurs at 3 degrees in the  first deacon of this sign. It’s called “strawberry” because many indigenous people of America picked the most ripe strawberries, hence the Strawberry Full moon. At 2:40pm EST the moon will be at its fullest.

With Full Moons of course come culminations and conclusions…

As the Sun is in the affectionate nurturing energy of Cancer. The Full Moon is opposing the Sun in Capricorn.

We are now facing how to create balance between what we need to work hard and sacrifice for versus how we can nurture ourselves while doing so.  What area of your life do you need to restrict yourself more so that life doesn’t do it for you?

For example, if a guy has been drinking on the job… he may finally get caught on the job drunk. NOW, things have reached its fullness. Conclusions and realizations come now showing  its time to restrict, minimize or quit drinking altogether to Take care of themselves (Cancer). This can also be a medical scare which puts us back on the right track.

Many will see the results of their lack of caring and compassion while others will get their hard earned rewards for such nurturing to themselves or others. Mothers and caregivers are in the spotlight for Saturn’s oppression or karmically rewarded lessons learned. I have never in my life seen hard work and discipline NOT be rewarded by the universe.

What you sacrifice you will get back in another form or area of life. It’s time for some to give up the things that are suppressing their health and daily lives in exchange for more life energy.

I believe there is a drastic change coming in our governments as well.

Capricorn represents our government, with Saturn having passed through that sign just a year or so ago and now in Aquarius there the government has been placing heavy restrictions on the masses of people (Aquarius) for a long while now.

They became much stricter in their policies and affected even more people than before. To go a bit deeper, in Sidereal astrology Saturn is currently in Capricorn. To me I see them both having a similar effect being ruled by Saturn. So no matter which way you calculate it, authority has the masses under their thumb through the use of Technology (Aquarius) by threat of disease (Capricorn).

With this Full Moon many plans for governing society will come to fruition this week.

Astrology is forever fascinating to me. We’re already seeing many lockdown restrictions that have been in place for a long time, now being lifted as more people are able to get back to more structure in their lives. On the darker side of things, any plans to create total control and suppression have reached a peak and have cemented in some form.

For a few this can feel like a time of freedom and an end to depression cultivated over the past, but for those who do not agree with the plans of the people up top this may feel like the powers that be have won and completed their intentions to dominate.

In many countries the C19 has reached an all time low since this started, bringing an end to much suffering as the deacon is in Capricorn which again points to the sickness as well as deaths, however keep calm! I do see this moon being more on the positive side as its aspecting Jupiter in Pisces through a reasonable sextile.

Through strong abundant faith things will be okay, an opportunity arises for the ability to push through any heaviness felt on this moon. Sad moods now come to conclusions and acceptance with many freed from grief. This freedom will come from seeking knowledge from the spirit world and of course God energy that dwells within (Jupiter in Pisces).

Media at times will say the opposite but be sure to take heed and double check to fully back up what is being said no matter who is saying it. Mercury has just gone Forward (yay) but will still be in shadow and squared by delusional Neptune. This square will add to Mercury’s confusion waking up from its deep sleep retrograde. So keep in mind the media can say one thing, grandma will say one thing and statistics will say another.

Now is a good time to seek the advice of the WISE elders that have gone before you. Go to the ancients for remedies on how to heal ones health during this Full Moon to get the best answers. Being fed up with rules and restrictions can be another manifestation of this moon as well. Look for your Rising/ASC sign  and then Sun and Moon to know what house this will fall in. Keep the faith and free yourself from what’s keeping you down. Rise to the top but take care of yourself like you would a child that’s starving and needs attention.

As I will also take my own advice,

With love always Astrodeestars

WHAT is a FULL MOON?

A Full Moon occurs when the sun and moon are opposite each other. This creates a sense of tension. It’s when the sun shines the most light on the moon. The Sun is our conscious and the Moon is the unconscious. So it’s an ideal time to LET GO and to bring the dark into the light to be released.

Every Full Moon is a chance to look back at the intentions you planted two weeks ago during the New Moon. What were they? How have they manifested? Are you taking action toward them? Now is the time to reassess and release anything standing in the way of your hearts desires. The two weeks between the New and Full Moon is a great time for new beginnings. The two weeks after the Full Moon is time to let go.

When we plant our New Moon intentions, we can’t just plant the seeds and wait for them to grow. We need to fertilize the soul, water them, make sure they get plenty of sunlight – most importantly we need to weed and pluck out that which doesn’t serve us. The Full Moon helps us ‘pluck’ out the weeds.

When the moon is full, a light shines on the areas of our lives it’s time to release and let go.
