On February 24 we have a beautiful full moon in Virgo that will highlight the importance of tending to the details while trusting our intuition.

During a full moon, the sun and moon sit opposite each other in the sky—this means the energy of two signs are at play and must be brought into balance. In this case, we are working with the Virgo/Pisces axis, drawing our attention to how we come to see the truth of a situation.

Both of these signs have a need to know—Virgo through research and analysis and Pisces through intuition and dreams.

Virgo is all about practicality—it creates a sense of safety through structure and routine and makes decisions by gathering facts and evidence. Taken too far, this energy can cause us to mistakenly believe we are analyzing all angles of something when we are actually projecting from the past or catastrophizing about the future. We end up approaching every situation like a scientist examining a specimen under a microscope, turning over each piece bit by bit until we no longer remember how it all fits together.

Pisces energy, on the other hand, is boundless and imaginative. It finds facts boring and unromantic, preferring to go with the flow and see what happens. When we lean too far in this direction, we make assumptions and guesses without seeking additional information. We may find it difficult to accept the reality of a situation and only pay attention to what we want to see.

This lunation will ask us to trust our intuition and look closer at what is happening in our lives  without overthinking or ignoring what we find. When we step outside of our spiralling thoughts and see things for how they truly are—not how we want or fear them to be—we gain the clarity needed to make aligned decisions.

Ask yourself: what are the objective facts here, and what is my gut telling me? If both align, you are likely on the right track.

Remember, intuition is calm and certain—it is a small whisper that does not change over time, while anxiety is loud and doubtful—it questions and seeks control.

Because this full moon will also be in a close conjunction/opposition with Saturn, whatever information or insights are brought to light should clarify your path forward and help you decide what is worth your long-term effort and devotion.

The Sun and Mercury will also meet in a Pisces cazimi on February 28—stimulating our unconscious world. Over the next week, keep a notebook beside your bed to record any insights, symbols, or archetypes you remember. They may provide additional clues about whatever comes up during the full moon.

Full Moon Self Reflection Questions:

When I think about a decision, situation, or person do I feel expanded or constricted? Where do I experience this sensation in my body?

What are the facts of this situation telling me? Is there tangible evidence in the present that supports my thinking?

Are my feelings about this situation based on what is happening in reality or do they reflect something from the past/anxieties about the future?
