August invites us into a deeply emotional, intuitive, and ultimately transformative relationship with Lady Venus, the planet of love, beauty, values, and connection.
We begin the month with Venus in Cancer, squaring Saturn and Neptune in Aries (August 1), which prompts us to confront illusions around love and clarify our emotional needs with compassionate boundaries.
We may feel tested in our worthiness as a means to strengthen our rooted connection with our own sense of power.
By August 10th, Venus conjuncts Jupiter in Cancer, offering heart-expanding moments of grace, generosity, and healing. This prepares us for when Venus squares Chiron on August 23rd; reopening a portal for holding space for wounds of rejection or emotional neglect.
Any discomfort felt is the birthing grounds for profound self-love. We shall meet ourselves with tenderness and grace amongst these aspects.
As Venus shifts into Leo by late August (August 25th), creativity, romantic passion, and self-expression take centre stage. Venus’ trine to Neptune and Saturn (August 27) reminds us that magic is possible when our dreams are grounded in our own clarified integrity.
Venus’ opposition to Pluto (also August 27) asks us to shed people-pleasing, false charm, and unspoken resentment. We are being asked to remember that the expression of the purest form of love requires honesty.
