On February 12, the Full Moon rises in Leo, igniting themes of heart-centered courage and personal power. There are moments in life when we are called to step forward and unapologetically shine by taking up space and owning our desires. This is one of those moments. Leo is a sign that represents the beating heart of the self, and is defined by its uncanny ability to express itself.

We are being invited to embrace our Soul’s calling and to make changes that yield sustainable transformation. This lunation isn’t about aimlessly leaping, but is about trusting the foundation we build. We are being asked to release, to express, and, most of all, to trust the wisdom of our own becoming. It’s time to reclaim our radiance, and to emerge forward embodied, claimed, and renewed.

This Full Moon in Leo is calling us to trust our light; to move past self-doubt and embrace the full spectrum of our beingness. Trust the revelations, take inspired action, and let yourself shine unapologetically.

Themes of the Leo Full Moon

The Courage to Be Seen

This Full Moon may illuminate fears of being judged, unappreciated, or misunderstood. Many of us have been conditioned to believe that standing in our power, being radiant, or embracing joy makes us “too much.” Yet, Leo reminds us that we are meant to shine.

Consider:

– Where am I shrinking, concealing, or contracting myself to avoid standing out?

– Where in my body does my confidence reside? How can I allow that feeling to guide?

Reclaiming Self by Embracing Shadow

While the archetype of Leo teaches us to own our individuality, this Full Moon is squaring Uranus in Taurus, which challenges us to balance personal self-expression with resourced stability. Uranus in Taurus is shaking up our foundations, asking us to go deep within and to shine light on the parts of ourselves that we have dismissed to the shadows. Security is found in a complete reclamation and acceptance of who we are.  This dynamic can bring up tension between wanting to be fully authentic and feeling the pressure to conform to external expectations. We are being guided to design and embody a life that honours our individuality, amongst meaningful connections.

Consider:

– Where do I feel torn between my personal truth and external expectations?

– What outdated beliefs about security and self-worth am I ready to release?

Break Free & Breakthrough

With Uranus forming a T-square to this Full Moon, there may be breakthroughs, disruptions, and revelations. Uranus may bring sudden shifts in perspective, unexpected events, or a feeling of needing to break free from constraints. This can feel destabilizing, but it’s ultimately leading us to a more authentic path. Since Leo rules creativity, this is also a powerful moment for artistic or expressive breakthroughs. This lunation may be the spark needed to move forward with courage and conviction.

An Anchor in Earth

While the T-Square may stir up tension, there is also a Grand Trine in Earth that is offering an anchor. This alignment offers deep wisdom and the ability to create long-lasting change by integrating new transformations that were inspired by what we’ve learned from the past.

This Earth trine reminds us that while breakthroughs and change are part of growth and evolution, lasting change is born from grounding into deliberate steps and embodied wisdom.

– Write down anything you’re ready to release—self-doubt, fears of judgment, limiting beliefs.

– Safely burn the paper (in a fire safe vessel) while setting the intention to fully step into your power.

– Speak aloud affirmations of self-worth and confidence. (e.g. “I am worthy of shining my light into the world”; “I am worthy of being embraced, loved, accepted  as I am”)

2. Move Energy with an Embodiment Practice

– Ecstatic Dance,  Burn stagnation at the Gym, or use the Breath of Fire

– Speaking your truth aloud; practice self-expression without justification or a need for validation.

– Creatively express yourself by painting, writing, singing, or expressing in a way that feels liberating.

– Spending time in nature, or working with plants

4. Mirror Work to  Embrace Being Seen

As the ruler of self-image, this lunation marks a powerful time to engage with mirror work. Here’s a simple ritual to try:

– Write out the positive and self-validating affirmations that feel embodied to your most authentic self

– Stand in front of a mirror and speak out those affirmations
