On August 4, a bold and optimistic New Moon in Leo will reward our efforts over the past six months by delivering a blessing that solidifies our path and gives us the courage to keep going.

Whatever happens in the coming days will restore our faith and remind us that no struggle lasts forever—the good times inevitably come again, and we will always emerge victorious if we show up authentically and lead with our hearts.

For a while, it may have felt like we were receiving challenge after challenge. Cancer season initiated a powerful purge of emotions and asked us to release the past to make room for what we truly wanted.

In the wake of last month’s Full Moon in Capricorn, many of us felt defeated and uncertain as we stepped into the unknown, half-expecting the past to repeat itself.

Over the last month, new opportunities have started to materialize. These are things we recognize as rare and feel deep in our gut are right for us but will also require an uncomfortable level of authenticity and vulnerability to maintain. We know they have the power to take us to new heights or completely destroy us, and this may be causing anxiety and tension. To be seen is to risk failure and rejection.

It’s one thing to lose something you were not all that invested in—it’s quite another when your whole heart is on the table.

But the universe rewards bravery—and so, if you have recently taken a leap of faith, this New Moon may deliver some positive reassurance. And if you haven’t, its energy may provide the push you need to step into the light.

Leo is a fixed fire sign. It makes decisions with its heart and isn’t afraid to put everything on the line to get what it wants. Leos see relationships, work, and possessions as extensions and reflections of their inner value and self-worth, so settling for less is not an option.

While this may come across as arrogant, this relentless determination and certainty give Leos their confidence and loyalty—they are first in line because once they decide, they don’t waver. It does not occur to a Leo that they cannot do something; they simply do it.

Many of us spend years observing others, wishing we could do what they’re doing. We sit on the sidelines or work behind the scenes, dreaming of one day stepping into the spotlight while convincing ourselves that life is for others, not us.

When we see people shining their light and experience jealousy, this means a part of us is seeking a similar experience—we want what they have, and something inside us is screaming to be let out. Some believe that when we really want something, it means we already have it in some future timeline.

Allow these feelings to show you what is missing instead of pushing them down—they are clues to your path.

This New Moon is not the time to play small. The energy is moving in our favour, and it is advantageous to take chances and put yourself out there.

Whether you’re taking the first steps or have been working hard for a while, events that transpire over the next two weeks should give you the vote of confidence you need to stay the course.

Savour these wins when they arrive, as they will help you through the upcoming challenges of Mercury retrograde and eclipse season—this may not be the end of the story, but it is a beautiful moment that will make us grateful we tried and glad we didn’t give up.

This New Moon is all about recognition and validation. It is showing us that when we expect the best, believe we can have the things we want, and commit to showing up authentically, we will emerge victorious.

Are you ready to step into the ring and claim your crown, or will you continue to hang in the shadows, watching others succeed?

Ritual: Visualizing Success

Numerous studies have shown that visualizing an action before completing it increases your chances of success. When we imagine ourselves doing something, it activates the same area of the brain used to complete an action. Therefore, visualizing how we want to show up and what we will do acts like a practice run, making us more prepared and increasing our confidence.

To use this manifestation technique, allow yourself to get into a flow state through meditation or walking. Begin imagining what you want to do in as much detail as possible. Where are you? Who are you with? What are you wearing? What will you say? How do you carry yourself? Stay with the scene and allow it to unfold as you hope it will in reality.

Work with crystals

If you enjoy working with the energy of crystals, you can hold one during the visualization and use it to store your manifestation. Carry it with you until you are ready to take action.

Suggested crystals:

Citrine: Associated with Leo, stimulates mental clarity, promotes optimism, creativity, joy, and prosperity

Tiger’s eye: Expands awareness and personal strength, associated with good luck and courage

Carnelian: Supports emotional healing, improves concentration, provides strength and courage

Bloodstone: Improves motivation, provides mental stimulation, supports physical health
