Full Moon in Virgo Astrology Report for March 1, 2018 at 4:51pm PST

This is the dreaming time.

In the Northern Hemisphere, we turn in slumber. Blinking, sleep still in our eyes, we squint towards spring. Here, in this hovering place between sleeping and waking, we long to see the definitive qualities of the year ahead.

When we cast off the groggy gaze of winter, what then will we boldly endeavor towards? For now, we imagine. Images of other worlds flicker in our mind’s eye, taking shape like fleeting possibilities.

There is a longing for new self. New life. A warming of the soil. And yet, we are in the liminal space where that life has not entered form.

This month, we linger in the formlessness. Undifferentiated. It is here that our imaginings and imperceptible shifts can permeate, influence, and shape the worlds-to-be-born.

First we dream, then we do. Or perhaps what we incubate, we become.

“Don’t dream it, be it.”-  Rocky Horror Picture Show

For now we’ll dream it, and make way for our becoming.

That is the task of this moon.

Stellium in Pisces. Everything is floating.

At the time of this Full Moon, the Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Chiron, and Juno are all lined up in Pisces (by way of the Tropical zodiac). That’s a lot of Pisces energy! These spiralling waters swirl and flow, vast and un-abating like waves of the ocean.

Pisces is super empathic. All the planets here makes us extra-sensitive, easily-influenced, porous, and especially absorbent to emotional and psychic states – ours and other peoples.’ It can be confusing and altogether impossible to determine whose is whose. Is a wave separate from the ocean?

The ocean is BIG, misty, and wet. It contains all kinds of hidden things. We can easily feel fear and overwhelm in the presence of its awesomeness.

Maybe you’re a mermaid water babe (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces in your chart?). You might love long days at the beach and feel super inspired. Or maybe you’re a fire or air type, feeling like you are drowning, struggling to keep your head above water.

Depression, disillusionment, disorientation, and discouragement could be colouring our experience. Maybe we are grieving loss. Or filtering through all the ways we lie to ourselves and others. Or processing ways we have been deceived. Saddened by our weakness, lack of control, guilt, shame, and the ways we feel victimized by life. We may be aimless, scattered, lost at sea.

It’s not easy to be present during Pisces season. It’s a notoriously confusing time. Our vulnerabilities, anxieties, and subconscious fears are swimming to the surface.

You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.

It takes a special kind of surrender.

Keep breathing and find the flow.

This, too, shall pass.

Changing Habits

When we’re feeling all the feels, how do we cope? What do we normally turn to in hopes of escape? Addictions and ways that we numb ourselves can arise. Notice what your go-to habits and distractions are. Social media? Food? Alcohol? Work? Exercise?

Things aren’t healthy or unhealthy in-and-of themselves. It’s about our relationship to them, our attachment or aversion. What if we shifted our intention to feeling more? If we expanded our capacity, our ability to hold and allow experience. To feel as much as we can, letting energy to naturally flow through us, finding its way back to source. All rivers lead to the ocean.

Cleansing and Purification

Perhaps you are so sensitive right now that you are unable to indulge the numbing habits that usually get you through hard times.

This is a great time to break habits that don’t serve you and replace them with healthy patterns.

We’ve heard the phrase “you are what you eat.” This is also true: “We become what we repeatedly do.” – Sean Covey

Spring cleansing is in order. Detoxification. Clean out and simplify. Let go of anything you don’t utilize – if it doesn’t bring you joy and you haven’t used it in the last year, clear it out! Call on your inner minimalist.

Organize. Clarify through lists. Draw up a new schedule for yourself, emphasizing the support of healthy diet and lifestyle. Build in enough space to rest and digest. Attend to the health of your gut. Retreat, relax, and rejuvenate.

In addition to physical cleansing, become spiritually purified. Get right with spirit. Head down to the river to pray. Humble yourself before the magnificence of all-that-is. Practice presence. Restore virtue. Speak gratitudes. Consider the Hawaiian ho’oponopono practice for reconciliation and forgiveness: I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.

Inspiration and Intoxication

The Virgo-Pisces axis describes the meeting of matter and spirit. It rules the mundane things we do every day, such as washing dishes, as well as the most transcendent otherworldly meditative states.

Pisces is the Oneness that infuses and merges all separate parts. Virgo is the careful container for Divine.

Everything is an intoxicant.

This is the realm of reverence, where every act becomes holy. When we devote ourselves to experiencing spirit amidst the minutiae of life, brushing our teeth can be bliss. The ever-changing shapes of clouds in the sky can bring spiritual euphoria. Fractal flora reflecting galactic swirls and bearing medicine can make us breathless; bring us to our knees.

Devote yourself to divine perfection. We live amidst it. Like musical amniotic fluid, it surrounds us. Appreciate it. Imbibe it.

This Moon is for imagination. A time of creativity and craft. What happens when your creativity becomes your religion?

Identify your highest dreams and ideals and anchor them into reality with practical analysis and manageable steps. What will you do this week, this month, this year, to make dreams real? Put action steps on the calendar. Embrace the process. Practice makes perfect.

Compassion

You aren’t in this alone. The wave is not separate from the ocean. The highest dreams we have do not belong to us. They belong to the force that flows through everything, un-abating.

There is a certain selflessness it takes to create. To volunteer our time, our bodies, our precious attention to the care of others and all-that-is. In rhythm.

This Moon is about giving back. Giving of yourself. Give up and give over all that ails you. Merge with Soul more deeply through service to that which humbles you.

This is how we surf. Awash in ever-present, unconditional, universal Love.

Aries: I let go of habits that don’t serve me so I can fully participate in life.

You may have lower energy than usual this month, Aries. Perhaps you are realizing that some of your behaviors will need to change if you are going to achieve some of the goals you have set out to accomplish this year. It is wise to take alone time and retreat, at least for the next few days, to get a handle on what is coming up now. Diet, exercise, and lifestyle shifts are in order. Find rhythm to support your success.

Taurus: I create from a place of pleasure.

I’ve got a book recommendation for you this month, Taurus. Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche. There is an idea that we are all Divine, and that Divine has individuated into form to play. Take that to heart: you are here to enjoy and experience love. Your health this month arises from your own amusement. Drink of the holy nectar called FUN. Make love with life. Forgive old affronts and gather allies to bring forth more frolic for the planet.

Gemini: I clean my space to make room for clarity.

It’s easy to get scattered and jump around from thing-to-thing, Gemini. Before you know it, your home could be full of clutter and dust! Your office could be decorated with piles of documents. There are some new career goals unfolding for you – but they can’t fully drop in unless you make room for them. Take this opportunity to physically move distractions out of your environment. De-clutter. Donate. Remove what no longer serves you, and set your foundation to welcome your next worthy projects.

Cancer: I organize my mind to better understand my emotions.

You might be feeling somewhat at home in these moody Piscean waters, Cancer, since you’re an empathic sensitive person yourself. However, this Moon assigns the task of strengthening your intellect. Sharpen your skills of analysis. If you’ve been taking anything personally, take a step back. Assume for a moment that it’s not about you. Look at all sides of the situation. Becoming more objective can help you cultivate a plan of action.

Leo: I account for my resources because I’m worth it.

Leo, it might be time to get your taxes finished up and out the door. Or otherwise, clean up your accounting. I know you’re busy being playful and dramatic, but doing your books can be fun! Light a candle. Take dance breaks. Set financial goals and intentions for yourself based on your biggest dreams – while also honoring what improvements are easily measurable and attainable.

Virgo: I embrace the mystery and improve my skills at handling it.

Pisces energy is probably not the most comfortable for you, Virgo. You like things orderly and the Piscean ocean is literally all over the place, defying logic and practicality. It’s okay. What this energy really needs is what you do best: structure, containment, discipline, devotion. Build a sand castle; just don’t get attached to it. Set up a process to help move through the mysterious. Your own alignment, body, and appearance might be places you adjust to allow for better flow.

Libra: I retreat into private space so I can settle and feel.

You are really acclimated to being with others, Libra. But this Moon says it’s high time you took a personal retreat. Sometimes other people’s stuff can clog our field and make it difficult to discern what is going on for us personally. How does it feel to be alone? To become your own companion for a time? Take some baths. Nap and rest. Meditate. Dream. Make art. Give yourself a break.

Scorpio: I reconcile with myself as creator and discern who can support me.

We don’t consciously create everything that happens to us, Scorpio. But sometimes it can be hard to accept the things we do create, consciously or unconsciously. Forgive and accept. It’s only when we start from a place of honesty that we can begin to shift the story. Take stock of who you’ve got in your life. Are they allies or accomplices? It might be time to clear out or cut ties with some folx who don’t have your back. Make a healthy social space for yourself.

Sagittarius: I embrace order in my professional world.

It can seem really attractive to wander for eternity, Sagittarius. But is there a longing for more security and structure to support your seekings? What are your professional goals? Do you have systems in place to help you get there? How can you show up each day to support your longterm vision? It’s not about confinement – it’s about success. You might also be dreaming about your fantasy homeplace during this Moon. What does that look like?

Capricorn: I carefully consider growth options.

You may be used to performing things in order of what you’ve known or what has come before you, Capricorn. This Moon encourages you to grow beyond the edges of familiarity and tradition. How can you expand? What are some new beliefs you might be willing to entertain and incorporate? Look at life as a journey rather than a regimented plan. Perhaps schedule a trip to a place you’ve never been before!

Aquarius: I make passage, knowing that God is Change.

This Moon might feel intense or heavy for you, Aquarius. And as an objective, logical type all of the intuitive emotional energies flying around could be too much to bear. Take space as you need to. Try not to disconnect or detach from experience. This is a cleansing, transformational time. Lean into your natural selflessness, release attachments, and allow for change to be change.

Pisces: I accept and forgive others and myself.

The cleansing process is taking place in your house of relationships, Pisces. This means you may want to re-imagine ways of connecting. You are a malleable person; very subtle and receptive. You get to redream who you are with others and what your relationships look and feel like. Live into your highest ideal. What sort of romance would take you higher? Meanwhile, can you love yourself and all-that-is even more unconditionally?
